We (Just Alex really) went to haunt the local Halifax Game Collective to demo the first few levels much like we did at DCAF. The testers this time around were fellow game devs that are more familiar with us and our game so the testing was more focused. Some minor tweaks were made prior to this, but we got some extra feedback and some interesting suggestions.

At DCAF most people were various age groups and different degrees of casual/hardcore or even those who haven’t played video games at all. It was a definitely a broader stroke of testing. But overall it seems like a good idea to contrast random people playtesting with familiar people playtesting. Both groups have pointed out some of the design flaws and bugs and with their input it will help us make a better game. We’d like to thank HGC for being awesome and we’ll be playtesting with them more down the line as we get closer and closer to release.
